TOASTED SUNFLOWER SEED MILKSHAKE

¼ cup of sunflower seeds without shell
5 scoops vanilla ice cream
¼ cup whole milk (optional: replace with heavy whipping cream)
½ cup blackberries or berry of choice
3 tbsp sugar or sweetener of choice
3 tbsp Spicy Sovereign Syrup
Rinse blackberries and mash with a spoon into smaller pieces.
Place in a small pan on medium heat.
Add sugar and stir until combined with the blackberries.
Stir in the Spicy Sovereign Syrup and lower the heat to let mixture simmer.
After 5 minutes, remove from heat and let rest.
In the meantime, add sunflower seeds to a small pan on medium heat.
Stir frequently until golden brown. You should be able to smell a bit of the nutty aroma at this point.
Remove from heat.
In a glass, place 3 spoonfuls of the jam-like mixture and swirl around to coat the sides of the glass.
In a blender, add ice cream, milk, and toasted sunflower seeds. Blend until creamy
Pour the milkshake into your glass and enjoy with a straw for the jammy goodness!
