Let the air fryer take center stage with this pork belly dressed in Mala Spice Mix and a savory glaze, by Jill Maniago (@jillcooksthings). Serve over a bed of rice, or in a lettuce wrap for a refreshing crunch.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut pork belly into bite size pieces.
- Marinate the meat with Mala Spice Mix for 1 hour or overnight.
- For the glaze, mix together Mala Spice Mix, honey, soy sauce, cooking wine, and 2 cloves garlic.
- Add cornstarch to the meat and air fry at 350 degrees fahrenheit for 5 minutes.
- Brush glaze on the pork belly and flip. Brush more glaze onto the other side and air fry for 5 additional minutes.
- Enjoy with a bed of rice or in a lettuce wrap.
Additional dipping sauce tip: Add a cornstarch water slurry to the leftover glaze, let simmer, then serve as a dipping sauce.
